This city in Idaho will host Bernie Sanders and his "Fighting Oligarchy" tour.

Idaho will be the destination of U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont's "Fighting Oligarchy" tour. On Monday, April 14, Sanders will give a speech at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa. The speaking program is scheduled to start at 6 p.m., with doors opening at 3:30 p.m.

Sanders stated in a statement posted on his website, "I will be traveling across America over the next several weeks to have genuine conversations about how we proceed to take on the oligarchs and corporate interests who have so much power and influence in this nation." As it moves west, the tour has already stopped in Arizona, Colorado, and Las Vegas. Sanders will travel to Utah and then the Gem State after giving a speech in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 12. The public is welcome to attend the free event in Nampa. Participants are asked not to bring bags, signs, or firearms, and parking will be free on a first-come, first-served basis. According to NPR, Sanders' engagement in Denver last month drew over 30,000 attendees. The 83-year-old Sanders ran for president in both 2016 and 2020. Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., have made appearances together on the Fighting Oligarchy tour. "Do not you think this is similar to presidential campaign rallies? However, Sanders told The Associated Press, "This is not a campaign, and I am not running for president." "You must do what must be done. I want to do my part because the nation is in jeopardy.
