Trump says he would retaliate against Iran "at levels never seen before."

According to President Donald Trump, if Iran attacks, the US will respond "at levels never seen before."

Israel, a U.S. partner, attacked Iranian nuclear facilities, military chiefs, top regime officials, and important nuclear experts Thursday evening. Although Iran has fired missiles in retaliation, it does not currently seem to have targeted American targets.

As the fighting continued overnight Saturday, further missile strikes in Israel and Iran killed civilians as well. Israel's Defense Forces issued an evacuation order for Iranian people residing close to weapons manufacturing facilities on Sunday morning.

In the early hours of Sunday, Trump declared, "The U.S. had nothing to do with the strike on Iran, tonight." "The complete power and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will descend upon you at unprecedented levels if Iran attacks us in any manner, shape, or form."

"However, we can simply reach an agreement between Israel and Iran and put an end to this horrible confrontation!" he continued.

In a post on X, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi announced the cancellation of U.S.-Iranian talks that were set for today.

Washington has been negotiating with Tehran to relax sanctions in exchange for an agreement on Iran's nuclear program. Near-weapons-grade uranium stockpiles in Iran have grown, according to a United Nations watchdog report released in late May.

Leaders have called for moderation and a return to talks in response to Israel's dramatic escalation, which has raised fears of further unrest in the Middle East.

Israel Katz, the defense minister, stated that Israel "will target the installations and continue to peel the skin off the Iranian snake in Tehran and everywhere, stripping it of nuclear capabilities and weapons systems" shortly after the IDF issued its evacuation order on Sunday.

According to the Associated Press, Israel's Magen David Adom rescue organization reported 13 fatalities on Sunday.

Amir Saeid Iravani, Iran's ambassador to the United Nations, reported on Saturday that over 320 people had been injured and 78 people had died in Iran, according to the Wall Street Journal. Iran's state-run Islamic Republic News Agency said that Esmaeil Baqaei, a spokesman for the foreign ministry, denounced Israeli strikes on residential areas.
