Federal agents clashed with protesters during a major immigration raid at a farm in Ventura, Southern California, on July 10, 2025. This operation was one of at least two large-scale ICE raids in the region that day.
Amid the chaos, a man identified as Garcia reportedly fell 30 feet off a greenhouse roof, possibly while attempting to flee. A family member told KABC that Garcia sustained a broken neck and skull. However, the hospital has not confirmed the full extent of his injuries.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released a statement clarifying that Garcia was not being pursued by law enforcement and had never been in CBP or ICE custody.
“This individual climbed up to the roof of a greenhouse and fell 30 feet. CBP immediately called a medivac to the scene to get him care as quickly as possible,” said DHS Public Affairs Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.
The incident has sparked renewed concerns and protests over the conduct and humanitarian consequences of federal immigration enforcement.
