The OnePlus Nord 5 is powered by the high-performance Snapdragon 8 processor.
OnePlus has officially unveiled the Nord 5, the latest addition to its popular mid-range smartphone lineup. This refreshed model is equipped with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, promising impressive performance for gaming, multitasking, and everyday tasks.
The Nord 5 also boasts an enhanced cooling system and support for LPDDR5X RAM, ensuring smoother and more efficient performance. It features a dual rear camera setup and comes in a sleek pale blue color, officially named “Dry Ice.”
According to OnePlus, the upgraded hardware allows the Nord 5 to excel in gaming, delivering “unparalleled performance in its class.” The company highlights that the device can run Call of Duty: Mobile at 144FPS with real-time ray tracing, showcasing its advanced gaming capabilities.
OnePlus is also launching a companion device called the Nord CE5. While details are still limited, it's expected to be a more budget-friendly variant of the standard Nord 5, offering a similar experience at a lower price point.
Both the Nord 5 and Nord CE5 will include OnePlus’ newly introduced Plus Key, a customizable button that replaces the traditional Alert Slider. While it can be programmed for various tasks, its standout function is providing instant access to AI tools. This handy AI-focused button made its debut on the OnePlus 13s, which launched in Asia earlier this month.
Alongside the Nord 5, OnePlus also unveiled the OnePlus Buds 4, a premium pair of earbuds designed with gamers in mind. They feature ultra-low latency audio, dual drivers, support for Hi-Res audio, and a host of advanced features. The Buds 4 will be available in stylish green and dark gray color options. OnePlus also teased a new smartwatch and tablet, expanding its ecosystem even further.
Pricing and availability details for these devices haven’t been revealed yet. However, OnePlus has scheduled a launch event for July 8, where we expect to get all the key information.
