Sean "Diddy" Combs "did not know" that his conversation with Kanye West while incarcerated was being recorded: In the conflict with Kim Kardashian, "collateral harm"
According to an insider who spoke exclusively to The Post, Sean "Diddy" Combs was unaware that his recorded jailhouse conversation with Kanye West had been made public.
The Shade Room shared a video of Ye, 47, and Diddy, 55, conversing over the phone on Instagram on Monday. Although it is unclear who leaked the footage, it seemed to have been recorded by Ye.
The insider asserted that Combs "felt he was having a friend call him to check on his kids" and that Puff was unaware that it was being captured on camera.
The public does not often have access to the internal logs and recordings of all prison calls.
In response to rumors on social media over the validity of the recording, the source affirmed that "the call was real and not AI."
Currently awaiting trial on allegations of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution, Combs is being jailed without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn. On all counts, the hip-hop mogul entered a not guilty plea.
During his conversation with Ye, Combs urged the troubled celebrity to "go behind the mic" and "have some f–king fun." In addition, he thanked Ye for "looking after my children" after his September incarceration.
The seven children Diddy has with his late ex-wife Kim Porter are: son Christian, 26, twin daughters Jessie and D'Lila, 17, Quincy, 33, his adopted son from Porter's marriage to singer Al B. Sure!, son Justin, 31, and daughters Chance, 18, and Love, 2, whom he shares with Misa Hylton, Sarah Chapman, and Dana Tran, respectively.
The insider told The Post that Diddy's children are in communication with Ye.
In a since-deleted post on X on Saturday, Ye revealed a preview of his new song, "Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine," which featured Combs' words of gratitude from the taped call.
