President Donald Trump threatens that "hell will rain down" on the Houthis after the United States starts airstrikes on Yemen, killing at least 31 people.
The attacks follow the Yemeni rebel group's pledge to relaunch attacks on ships connected to Israel in the Red Sea due to the three-week-old total blockade of the Gaza Strip.
Despite the ceasefire, Israeli forces are still attacking Gaza; in a drone strike on Beit Lahiya, at least nine people were killed, including journalists and aid workers.
According to Gaza's Health Ministry, Israel's war on Gaza has resulted in at least 48,543 documented Palestinian deaths and 111,981 injuries. The Government Media Office in Gaza has revised the death toll to around 61,700, stating that thousands of Palestinians who went missing beneath the debris are thought to have died. During the October 7, 2023, assaults in Israel, which were led by Hamas, at least 1,139 people were murdered and almost 200 were captured.
Overnight, US forces conducted around 40 operations in Yemen.

According to Houthi media agencies, the deadliest occurred in the Kahza neighborhood when US airplanes hit two residential buildings, killing at least 15 people.
Both Sanaa and Bayda saw raids.At least 15 individuals were killed and nine more were injured when a residential area in Sanaa was targeted. Sanaa was the target of at least eight raids.Additionally, there were eight additional raids in Bayda, the targets of which are yet unknown. Ans in the southern Yemeni city of Dhamar and Al Majzah in Marib were also affected. The district of Main was struck in the province of Hajjah, which was also targeted.The Houthi Political Bureau is condemning these strikes as crimes against civilians, vowing to take revenge and to remain loyal to the Palestinian people.
